Canberra grunge band Teen Jesus and the Gene Teasers have released their debut album ‘I Love You’.

Today (June 8), the band announced the album on social media, confirming that it will be released on September 8 through La La in Japan. We can’t wait for you to hear it,” the band wrote on Instagram.
Pre-orders for ‘I Love You’ will begin tomorrow (June 9) at 9 am local time through domestic La La.
Aside from the album announcement, Teen Jesus and the Gene Teasers also released a fragile new single with its own music video, “Never Saw It Coming.”
The acoustic cut “Never Saw It Coming” was written and performed by drummer Neve Van Voxel. On this emotional track, Voxel sings about getting through tough times with his best friends.
“’Never Saw It Coming’ took over a year to finish. was one of the first songs I brought to the band and the first I sang lead on, so thanks to Anna, Jada and Scarlett for supporting me with such a personal song. And what was really difficult has become a lot easier,” Voxel said in a press statement.
Teen Jesus and the Gene Teasers have also revealed the cover art and track listing for “I Love You,” which features their previously released single “AHHHH!” It was confirmed. And “Lights Out” will be included in the debut album.

Earlier this week, the band also announced that they will be supporting the Foo Fighters in Nahm/Melbourne with British band Hot Milk when Dave Grohl and others appear. As part of their ongoing world tour, they will hit AAMI Park on December 4th.
