Spotify reportedly paid around $18 million for Meghan Markle’s podcast, but reports suggest it may have plowed a lot in return.Simply put, the company appears to have struck a deal to acquire prototype This may not have been the right business move for them, according to the New York Post.

Despite winning the coveted Gracie Award and catching celebrities here and there for interviews, prototype has not reached the level of success it had when it debuted in August 2022. In fact, within three months, it had already slipped out of the top 20.
And it doesn’t help that there’s no confirmation from the Duchess of Sussex if she’ll be returning for the next season of the podcast.
