Spotify already lets you download songs, albums, and playlists for offline listening, but it’s easy to forget your favorite music because you have to manually select each one. The company is currently testing a feature called “Your Offline Mix.” This “saves a mix of recently played songs in case the mood is high but the connection is weak,” says Spotify CEO Daniel Ek. said on twitter.
This feature is similar to YouTube’s offline mixtape feature that came out in 2019. As we wrote at the time, “Smart Downloads picks a few of your favorite songs and makes sure they’re available everywhere.” Download.
We are testing a new feature called “Your Offline Mix”. This is a playlist designed for when you may not be online ✈️

The feature is being tested and it’s not yet clear when it will be available, but a user who appeared in Ek’s Twitter mention said he’d already seen the feature in his app, and one Users noted that 90 percent of the songs in the mix were not downloaded. What’s more, the screenshot shows him offline his mix for over three and a half hours, so he can handle a lot of songs. This is very useful when you are traveling or in a remote area and need a little (or a lot) of entertainment.
