She has spoken to hundreds of celebrities during her 30-year television career.
However, Sonia Kruger has revealed that the worst A-lister she has ever interviewed was Hugh Grant.
In a Stellar Magazine column, the 57-year-old explained that she secured a chat with the British actor in 2004 after her role in Bridget Jones: Edge of Reason.
“I was thrilled to meet one of my favorite actors, so I arrived with bright eyes and a bushy tail. Unlike Hugh, I wasn’t in the mood at all,” she began.
Sonia said she didn’t let Hugh’s mood “deter” and continued the interview, acknowledging his recent birthday, but “got nothing but scorn and suspicion.”
During the interview, Sonia revealed that she decided to stop and ask Hugh if he was okay.
In reply he said he wanted to know why I wanted to know. So I said, “You don’t look very happy.”
“He seemed shocked that I blamed him for his attitude, and from that moment on, Hugh became a completely different man,” she explained.
That’s after Hugh shut Ashley Graham down and turned to her in a red carpet chat branded “the worst interview ever” at the star-studded Oscars last month.
The actor was unamused and openly displayed disdain for the 34-year-old supermodel’s question as he walked into a glitzy Los Angeles event.
The Four Weddings and a Funeral star famously kept his answers to her questions as short as possible and his blatant indifference.
Starting the chat, a hilarious Ashley exclaimed: How fun is it to shoot something like that?”
However, she met with a sorry reaction.
“Even so, it should have been fun, wasn’t it?” Ashley said emphatically via a one-sided chat.
“Um… almost,” the actor replied, looking away.
“What are you wearing?” asked the model, grinning as she endured the interview. Hugh provided an insightful “My Suit”.
