If Koruk was a fish, would the headline be “Koruk swims across America on first headliner tour”? probably! On Tuesday, Koluk, the singer-songwriter behind the popular TikTok song “If I Were a Fish,” announced a series of shows in support of her new EP. A Serious Person (Part 1).
After playing several shows this summer focused on Pride Month, Kolk will embark on a North American tour in early September, starting in Atlanta with stops in cities such as Toronto, Chicago, Nashville, Denver, New York City and Los Angeles. I plan to participate.
“First headline tour ever!!!! I’ve been the opening act since corook started, and I’ve been touring with amazing artists that I admire,” they wrote on Instagram. “Headlining a show and filling the room with disgusting people just feels insane! Tickets go on sale Friday!! Come on!!”
show management support part 1 musician’s two-part Serious person plan. In the first half, songs such as “Tiny Little Tittles”, “CGI” and “I’m Not Doing Well” were performed.
Cork has spoken rolling stone about the virality of his hit “If I Were A Fish” with Olivia Burton (which started as a TikTok between partners trying to cheer each other up after facing hate online), and how this track He talked about how it “reminds people of their daily memories.” It’s great to be different. “
“Olivia comforted me and said, ‘We should be as weird as possible because that’s what we’re crying about,'” Ms. Kolk said at the time. If I was a fish, people would find all the things that make me different.’ If I was a big butt and a chubby ass, people would love it. ’ It was like, ‘Well, that’s weird. Let’s go with that idea. ”
“What’s on the video is everything we wrote that day,” Burton added. “It took 20 minutes, and we were like, ‘Let’s just do a little video.’ It’s probably a weird time to post, but who cares? this is for us. ’ And, apparently, it took on a life of its own. ”
