Simmons, who still runs Ringer and is also the head of podcast innovation and monetization at Spotify, commented on his eponymous podcast.
“Fucking grifters, that’s the podcast we should start with them,” he said. “I got drunk one night and had a Zoom talk with Harry and thought I’d help Harry with an idea for a podcast. It’s one of my best stories.”
The comment surfaced on Twitter (see below) and was first reported by The Big Lead.
In Archewell’s podcast, prototype, Hosted by Markle. The show explores the social forces holding back women’s progress and features guests such as Trevor Noah, Mariah Carey, Mindy Kaling and Serena Williams. It didn’t get a renewal for a second season, but it could reappear on another platform.

Simmons remained tight-lipped about the royal couple during his deal with Spotify. Last January, she lashed out at Prince Harry, saying it was “embarrassing” to work for the same company.
According to Big Read’s post, Simmons yelled, “Shoot this guy into the sun.” “I’m sick of this guy. What does he bring to the table? He just keeps complaining and taking interviews. Who cares? Who cares about your life?” You weren’t even your beloved son…. You live in fucking Montecito and you’re just selling documentaries and podcasts and unless you’re just talking about the royal family and complaining, no one is going to talk to you I don’t care what has to say.”
