After nearly five years of near complete silence, EDM favorites Pretty Lights are back with a North American tour and sharing some new music.

On Tuesday April 4th, he returned to his social media to announce the Soundship Spacesystem Tour and share a new message with his fans.
“I’ve been looking forward to this day for a long time and am so grateful to be healthy, happy and surrounded by amazing people.” Pretty Lights said (real name Derek Vincent Smith). “I feel recharged and more ready than ever to launch a new vision of PL music and live events. The tour’s teaser video ostensibly features a bit of new music, with Pretty Lights singing in a hypnotizing, multi-layered Auto-Tune. If I can find a place to rest my soul / Maybe I’ll be a pretty light again / Or I’ll be just a drop of rain / But I’ll stay / And I’ll be back again .
Pretty Lights has more or less disappeared from public view since their last live show on August 11, 2018. Without any notes or messages, the artist deleted his social media accounts and effectively disappeared. He made a brief appearance two years later, expressing support for the protests following the police killing of George Floyd, and appeared at a Blake Science virtual concert later that year. In February 2022, he appeared in a promotional video for his Denver venue celebrating his 20th anniversary.
