Neil Young As one of the most vocal artists about the need for safety during the Covid-19 pandemic, he has not toured since the pandemic and only recently started playing live. However, he will tentatively return to action with a solo acoustic theater tour of the West Coast in July.
No dates have been announced yet, but Neil Young spoke about the tour Wednesday night via Zoom to subscribers of the Neil Young Archive Patreon.via rolling stone“I don’t want to come back and do the same song,” Young said. “It’s going to feel like we’re on some kind of carnival ride. I’d rather do other songs that we haven’t done…don’t have to compare to how ‘Heart of Gold’ is done.” [how I played it in] 1970, 1980, 1990, 2000, 2010, 2020…”
Young said he put together a setlist of about 15 songs. In other news, Neil Young will release Volume 5 of his Official Release Series on July 14th via Warner Music. freedom, ragged glory, weldingand arc It was released as an analog box set containing the original 4 albums on 9 analog LPs, and currently has 4 CD releases on 6 CDs. This is the first time these albums have been remastered for vinyl.
