Today Jeff Tweedy announces his North American tour for the summer. Beginning with his four-night residency at his maid in Brooklyn, New York, followed by his performances in Washington, D.C., St. Louis, Boulder, and more. Additionally, Wilco is currently touring in support of Cruel Country, released last year on dBpm Records. Full dates are listed below, and tickets for the newly announced show go on sale April 7 at 10am local time.
Tweedy’s summer tour comes ahead of the release of his third book, WORLD WITHIN A SONG: Music That Changed My Life and Life That Changed My Music. Released on his November 7th from Dutton, WORLD WITHIN A SONG is a harmless and reassuring mix of memories, music and inspiration built around more than 50 of Tweedy’s songs that changed his life. Fans, music lovers and creators of all types will find inspiration in Tweedy’s insightful blend of music and emotion in his WORLD WITHIN A SONG.
Tweedy also recently released a special episode of Audible’s Words + Music series, “Please Tell My Brothers.” In this volume, Tweedy introduces listeners to the people, events, and frame of mind that inspired Wilco, Uncle His Tupelo, and the songbook of his solo work, including little or unknown moments and motives.
