Bella Shepard: Very nice, thank you.
Otaku & Beyond: Blake’s journey this season has had many ups and downs.
Bella Shepard: I think Blake reminds me of myself sometimes, and I see how she deals with trust issues in a lot of young teenage girls. I think I can be the voice for many teenage girls who were hurt at a young age and had to shoulder a lot of things. I find it really empowering and inspiring.
Otaku & Beyond: At the end of the finale, Blake is again at a crossroads. All she wants to do is protect Danny, but that’s in danger. What’s going on in her head now?

Bella Shepard: Oh, I think it puts Blake in some kind of conflict because she finally accepts the role in Puck. I get this chance to feel.
Otaku & Beyond: Things are going well for Blake and Everett, but how do you think this revelation will affect their relationship?
Bella Shepard: Everett is in a very empowered state and Blake is empowered in her own way so she can make her own choices and live a normal life with her family. We are going our separate ways now and will eventually leave with them. So I guess we’ll have to see how that affects relationships!
Otaku & Beyond: Blake has been concerned about being in the herd all season, but will Barron bring more trouble to her personal journey?
Bella Shepard: Yeah, I think it’s because we found out at the end of the season that Barron was a threat to Danny at one point. And she would rather be in the herd to keep her brother safe than accept the other members of this herd who have threatened so many people and possibly hurt so many. I think it’s better to withdraw from
Otaku & Beyond: What challenges do you think Blake will face as she tries to adjust to her new normal? That is – talk about overwhelming!
Bella Shepard: She will probably face the guilt of feeling torn between two lives. Right? Her brother and her dad clearly have no idea what’s going on with her. It gave her her confidence. So I think she just deals with the conflict and the guilt of having to make decisions.
Otaku & Beyond: Going forward, if the series picks up for a second season, what are you most looking forward to exploring with Blake? I recently spoke with Tyler. You said you wanted to explore more internal things that we can’t really see.Is there anything you’d like to explore deeper with Blake?
Bella Shepard: Yeah, I’m open to exploring any Jeff [Davis] You have Blake in mind. I think it’s really interesting to see her really flesh out this new found confidence that she has, when we started season 1 she was in a very vulnerable and low vibration state. I saw the Now she has found the confidence to stand up for herself and feel able to make her own decisions, and is strong enough to take care of her brother. I think it’s really interesting to see Blake who is.
