geese released Live at Radio City Music Hall, a live album documenting the band’s two-night stand at historic New York City venues on June 24 and 25, 2022. Collections from performances, including collaborations with Trey Anastasio and Father John Misty, are available on all digital streaming platforms. A limited-edition, hand-numbered 12LP vinyl box set featuring both shows on 198-gram sunburst vinyl and an 80-page coffee table photobook is available for pre-order now.
Goose guitarist Rick Mitarotonda explained, “Playing at Radio City Music Hall felt like a moment of unity for the band,” adding, “It was the central point of the phase. Given the history and formality of this room, I expected to be nervous, but it was unexpectedly very comfortable. I think that speaks to the charm of the venue and the moment of the band.As soon as we reached our destination, it felt like the door to a new beginning opened.”
“Playing at Radio City Music Hall carries weight,” added multi-instrumentalist Peter Unspach. “When you step into a room, it feels like you’re stepping into a sacred place. I realized that if you can do something, you can go anywhere.”
Both concerts consisted of three sets, with the acoustic playing first. For Goose’s Radio City Music Hall debut on June 24, 2022, the band worked through career-spanning original songs and a cover of the Grateful Dead’s “Jack-a-Law” on the Unplugged slot.
