An Illinois man arrested for murdering his wife three years ago appeared on the TV show Family Feud and joked with host Steve Harvey that someone’s “biggest wedding mistake” was I joked that it was likely to be to get married.

Officers arrived at Timothy’s home Monday morning, two weeks after searching the same property on Hampshire Street.

He appeared in Adams County Courthouse on Tuesday and was charged with murdering his wife and trespassing on a residence, but did not respond to the plea.

The house was just a mile (1.6 km) from Rebecca’s on Kentucky Road, where Rebecca lived with her three sons until she was shot. Prosecutors branded her death an act of domestic violence.

Briefnick appeared on Family Feud in 2021 with his mother, brother, and father, but not his estranged wife.

Rebecca and Tim are believed to have married in 2009, but nothing was finalized, although divorce proceedings were underway at the time of her death.
