The album had an explosive impact upon its debut, reaching number one on the Billboard 200 chart. “Recovery” sold a staggering 741,000 copies in its first week alone, cementing Eminem’s position as a chart-topping force.
The success of “Recovery” was also recognized at the 2011 Grammy Awards. The album was nominated for both Album of the Year and Best Rap Album at this then-prestigious event. Ultimately, it won the coveted Best Rap Album award.
Fast forward to 2022 and “Recovery” continues to show its enduring popularity. The album received his stunning 8x Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). “Recovery” is Eminem’s sixth best-selling album, although it has established itself as an iconic concept on his album. The work has seen greater success on streaming his platforms, making it his second most streamed studio project on Spotify, for example.
