Cold War Kids have released their latest song “Double Life” via AWAL. A music video directed by Joseph Wasilewski is also included. This summer, they will also be joining Tears For Fears on their North American tour. Watch the video below to see the summer tour dates.
Frontman Nathan Willett said of “Double Life”: Over the last few years, as a parent, my focus has always been divided. And for myself and my friends, we are at a time when the masculine and feminine roles in partnerships are blurring. And the fathers I see are much more maternal than they were when we were growing up, which is amazing and terrifying but okay.”
The song takes its inspiration from The Pretenders’ “The Wait,” borrowing its bouncy, swinging and edgy rock’n’roll chords.
“Double Life” is the band’s first new song since their 2021 LP, New Age Norm 3.
