Ciara is ready to unload more music. The R&B veteran has announced that her next single, “Da Girls,” will be released later this month.
The announcement was made via an Instagram post. “You asked for it,” the Atlanta singer wrote in the caption. “Da Girls, 3/24. Pre-Save Now!” It shows that she is wearing colored pants and a voluminous hairstyle.
The mother of three children alluded to the record in February, posting photos of various mirrors on Instagram with the hashtag “Da Girls.” Now her fans know it’s official and she will hit DSP on March 24th.
“Da Girls” follows Ciara’s September 2022 release “Better Thans” featuring Summer Walker. She also tapped bubbling rap group Coast Contra for “Jump” in July. These three of her records will be on her eighth album in October 2022, which she spoke with Zane Lowe on Apple Music.
“There’s super R&B, hardcore R&B at the heart of this album,” says Ciara. She’s also leaned into her nostalgia a bit, telling fans that her 2004 debut will evoke the same emotions as her LP. goods“Honestly, my first album was the best album of my entire journey. This album is where that album was: energetically, tonally, this record.” It took me to the core of R&B in
Ciara, who also advocates for off-wax women, recently spoke out against Jason Whitlock, who irresponsibly said black single mothers were responsible for black men’s violent behavior. “It’s irresponsible to appear on national television as black and say things like this,” she wrote on Twitter. It is so sad that you are also undermining a single black woman. This woman just lost her son!Do better!”
