BTS released a new full group song “Take Two” on June 9 to mark the group’s 10th anniversary on June 13. The song was an instant hit thanks to the wait that motivated fans to stream more. This song was a group song. OT7 release after a long time.
Spotify and Oricon chart achievements with Take Two
BTS’ latest release, digital single Take Two, has officially announced that they are the second group ever to debut at number one on the Spotify Global Top Songs chart. As revealed on June 10, the song managed to amass a whopping 7,279,978 filtered streams on its first day of release. The song that BTS first appeared in the first rank was their first English single “Dynamite”, making BTS the only K-pop. Two tracks act to top the charts so far. In fact, BTS member Jimin is the only other K-pop artist to top the chart. His debut song “Like Crazy” was a huge hit.
Similarly, BTS reached No. 1 on Japan’s Oricon Daily Digital Singles Chart, demonstrating its global reach. Take Two had a total of 21,792 downloads for their debut song on the day of the song’s release.
Take Two hits the iTunes charts
Shortly after the song’s release, Take Two was revealed to have topped 92 iTunes charts, including highly competitive territories such as the US and UK. The list also includes France and Germany. It was later revealed that the song reached #1 on iTunes in the US. The song was announced as the fastest K-pop track to reach that position in a record-breaking 1 hour and 10 minutes.

RM, Jin, SUGA, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook will celebrate their 10th anniversary on June 13th, and many preparations have been made for it. In the BTS Presents Everywhere project, leader RM will interact with fans at Yeouido Hangang Park on June 17th. Member Jungkook is known to participate as a narrator for fireworks events.
