The Strokes lead guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. has announced his fifth solo album. dormant melodywill be released on June 23rd via Red Bull Records. In addition, he has shared some support his tour dates (tickets available here), Lead single “100-99” featuring Goldlink.

“100-99″ was partly inspired by the ’90s hip-hop that Hammond Jr. grew up listening to, he explained in a statement. I was particularly drawn to what Dr. Dre produced and rapped,” he said. “After a few years, I realized that the melodies in my guitar work had moved away from the style of his lines. Rock were directly related to being in his band, so they weren’t obvious to others.” I didn’t.”
