The Great Leslie will release their first EP, The End and The Beginning, on March 31st.
The EP’s lead single, Can’t Touch, appeared on the streaming service’s “All New Rock” playlist, securing the band’s first major Spotify editorial playlist on the day of its release.
The band’s lead singer, Ollie Trevers, grew up in Framlingham and attended Framlingham College as a young man, where his parents attended.
Trevors previously said, “Suffolk was a big part of my childhood.
“I will be back from time to time.”
Trevors has previously said he would like to purchase a property somewhere in Suffolk in the future.
He’s not the only music star from Framlingham, The Masked Singer UK 2023 winner and Busted frontman Charlie Simpson also attended college, while Ed Sheeran attended Thomas Mills High School.
The Great Leslie was a huge success with thousands of streams on Spotify and over 140,000 views on YouTube.
They also toured across the country and France, supporting Franz Ferdinand in Manchester in October.
They also achieved great success with the second single from their upcoming EP, Get In, which was included in Apple Music playlists and reached number two on the iTunes Alternative charts.
The band, consisting of Mr Trevers, Ryan Lavender, Alfie Pawsey and Freddie Miles, embarked on the venture in late November, saying they wanted to release an EP due to their previous success.
