On Thursday in Lagos, Spotify demonstrated the intersection of music, art and food through an experiential event called #SpotifyMoments, bringing together influencers, media, creators and visual artists to launch a VIP program.
The event is best described as a creative blend of Naija Spotify playlists, delicious food and great atmosphere.

The works of young Nigerian art talents Chinaza Nkemka, James Adebayo, Chijioke Anyacho, Kentar Kachina, Odinakachi Okoroafor, Abigail Esotelika Ogen and Sotonye Jumbo cross classical, contemporary and postmodern art. It is displayed across.
Each piece tells a different story inspired by other songs on our Spotify playlist. One of his artworks, “Monday Morning on 3MB”, was inspired by the Naija Traffic Jams playlist and speaks to the bright and chaotic nature of Lagos traffic.
More than just painting, the evening saw a fusion of music and food, with Chef Benedict creating a 10-course menu for guests to enjoy the best of Afro cuisine and Nigerian music.

From technique to impeccable presentation to delicious flavor profiles, the chef had guests sing along to tunes from his menu backed by a Spotify playlist. Each item on the menu is inspired by songs and infused with Nigerian ingredients to further showcase the intersection of music and food.
Guests also enjoyed an exciting performance by Tenaviolinist, one of Nigeria’s finest violinists, as well as DJ TohBahd, who serenaded guests upon arrival at the event and provided the event’s soundtrack. They both thrilled their guests with Spotify’s hottest Nigerian playlists.
Earlier this year, Spotify created #SpotifyMoments in South Africa. This, along with top chef her Wandile Mabaso, where music, food and wine intersect, combined great food and music to excite guests.
