Biome, a new album of Tribal Psybient music from Frore, features a universal heartbeat, powerful hand drum beats, and a series of simple yet powerful percussive forms that become a complex sounding rhythm machine that magically dances forever. and The heart quickens for a while, then eventually begins to settle, then slows down as the trance charm flourishes, producing solid, deep textures (and surprises) as this calming, hypnotic new rhythm machine keeps running. ) appears.
A biome is a biogeographic unit consisting of a biological community formed according to the physical environment. Now it’s also a musical inspiration. Spotted Peccary Music’s Frere’s first solo project, his BIOME permeates the world with instruments, drones, pads, sequencer lines, and even industrial and his IDM touches. Frore’s lush landscapes are an immersive album best described as psychedelic ambient music.
“Frore” (pronounced Fror) is an archaic adjective meaning “frosty or icy”. Fittingly, the artist behind the moniker, Paul Casper, was partly inspired by natural wonders, BBC Earth with David Attenborough, and nature documentaries like “Fantastic Fungi.” Nature studies, including recent evidence that the
“Think of how the infinitesimal structure our reality and environment. How small can we get? “I’m sure there are scientists, physicists, and mathematicians who have answers,” Casper said, “but I’m just a person who makes sounds, so I’m not thinking.” You can hear everything you want: world instruments, drones, pads, sequencer lines, even industrial and IDM touches.”
Frere’s music has been featured on radio shows such as Hearts of Space, Star’s End, and is played frequently on Stillstream.com’s ambient radio channel, among others. Frore collaborated with fellow Spotted Peccary Music artist Shane Morris on previous label releases Blood Moon (SPM-9083), Eclipse (SPM-9085), and Horizon (SPM-9089).
Casper has a unique approach to ambient music, always trying to fuse what he calls “primitive sounds” with current technology. On this debut his solo tour, he uses his gear to get creative and take the listener into a world of wonder. The opening, “Algae Bloom,” hypnotizes as the flute winds through a landscape of tribal drums and ethereal pads. On “Protozoa,” a sequencer bassline rises from expansive textures. Flute chords and industrial music swirl around it, evoking the complexity of the microbial world. He used different instruments to bring the biomes to life. Radikal Technologies Accelerator, Nord A1R, Bansuri, Death Whistle. The closing “Mycelium Dreams” mimicked the sound of a gamelan by playing a set of singing bowls upside down. Sonically, Biome is as multifaceted as its inspiration, opening up new forms of trance-his power and trance-his dreams.
“Honestly, I’ve always felt adrift and only partially connected to everything,” Floret adds. Sometimes I think…or at least it gives my imagination a place to go.”

About Floret:
Frore is an ambient music project by Paul Casper, a musician from Southeast Virginia, USA. Paul has a unique approach to ambient music, always looking to fuse what he calls “primitive sounds” with current technology. For Paul, his music reminds us that nothing changes from person to person, that music is a basic human impulse, an attempt to create sounds to ‘fight loneliness’. Paul isn’t quite sure why he uses so many of his world fusion and tribal sounds in his music projects. As a child, he always wanted to discover lost indigenous peoples in the forest. He loved the mystery and excitement associated with such concepts.
