Nigerian singer Davido is gearing up for the release of his fourth studio album. timelessToday (March 21), David announced the album along with a trailer on Instagram.
The trailer consists of footage from the tour, lined with clips that appear to be new music videos. In the trailer, David speaks via narration: “Everything has a time, a time to mourn and a time to heal, a time to laugh and a time to dance, a time to speak and a time to be silent.”
The grief he hints at is likely related to the loss of his 3-year-old son, who died in an accidental drowning last October.
In the post’s caption, David thanked his fans for their endless support as he took a short hiatus after the accident.
“Thank you to everyone out there for your love and support in keeping me down,” he said. “For all the love and messages while I was away, the gifts you sent, the concerts you threw! , was once a new thing… a new time.”
