With 13 days left until the 2023 NBA Draft, it could be a historic draft for Eric Musselman and Arkansas basketball.
Four former Razorbacks – Anthony Black, Ricky Council IV, Jordan Walsh and Nick Smith Jr. – are in the draft and will wait to be called out on June 22. Of these four, take your pick from the board where Anthony Black is currently expected to be No. 1.
ESPN.com plans to draft Black 8th overall to the Washington Wizards, while The Ringer and USA Today’s ForTheWin both drafted Black 9th overall to the Utah Jazz. If those predictions are correct, Black would be the highest-ranked Razorback in the first round since Joe Johnson in 2001 (the Boston Celtics’ No. 10 overall).
Ahead of the draft, Black gave an in-depth interview with NBA insider Shams Charania. During the interview, he discussed a wide range of topics, including what kind of players the team would acquire, the benefits of playing football and high school soccer, role models in the NBA and goals for his rookie season.
Check out the full interview below and watch the 2023 NBA Draft, which airs June 22 at 7 p.m. Central Time on ESPN.
