As smoke from Canada’s wildfires swept across the East Coast, Luke Mahoney had grave concerns.
his golf game.
Smoke from Canada poses a major problem, from New York to Washington DC and beyond.
The smoke conditions are nothing short of brutal. Just walking around Washington DC for a few days this week felt like a pack of cigarettes.
Thank you Canada. I am so grateful for all the smoke we inhaled. Another gift from our friends north of the border. some real gems. Below is an example of how smoky the skies in DC were when things started to return to normal. This wasn’t so bad.
Smoke from Canada is a problem at golf courses.
Now, while we were choking on the fumes, Mahoney was in even greater pain than just breathing. He lost his ball after hitting an undoubtedly great 300+ yard drive.
“I hit a drive about 320 yards. I lost the ball at about 260. I had to go look for this. Thankfully it was on the fairway,” Virginia’s (hero?) said. The man told local news outlets.
Is Luke Mahoney just trolling the local news? perhaps. Probably not. Either way, this is one of the funniest interviews we’ve seen in a long time.
People here were suffocating with smoke, unable to go outside thanks to the great fires in Canada, and normal life was greatly disrupted.
I couldn’t even walk outside without seeing my mask anywhere again. It felt like March 2020 was back.
But the now-legendary TV personality was just worried about finding his golf ball. Sometimes it’s the little things that matter most when the chaos around us starts to burn the world to the ground. Godspeed, Mr. Mahoney. Let’s hope he gets through the smoke and hits one of the best rounds of his life.
