Shaping the Future: Rutland Middle School Students Participate in Mock Job Interviews
This exercise gave the students an experience for the future
After months of learning about careers and the job industry, Rutland Middle School’s 8th graders were tested on Thursday, June 8th.
Over the past few months, students have learned about different areas of work, resume writing, proper interview etiquette, and more.
On Thursday, as one of their final assignments, the students had to participate in a job interview.
The school had 16 volunteers come to the school to conduct job interviews, assess student performance and give critical feedback. This gave students real-world experience before experiencing the real thing in the future.
All eighth graders participated in the exercise, and many demonstrated excellent interviewing skills, brightening Kelowna’s future.
