In honor of Women’s History Month and the contribution of women in both hip-hop and fashion, Spotify hosted its first-ever Feelin’ Myself Fashion show in LA, featuring an awe-inspiring runway presentation by Latoia Fitzgerald by Lionne., A special awards ceremony honoring fashion icon and influential female rapper Lil’ Kim, along with breathtaking performances from hip-hop’s next generation of fashionable women.
The evening featured a Women in Hip-Hop fashion presentation by Spotify’s Global Editor-in-Chief Surinna Ong, Head of Urban Music Carl Shelley, and Culture Curation Editor Domo Wells. As the Icon Award, we presented a significant event that was presented to pioneer Lil’ Kim. And the face of a hip-hop woman. Throughout her career, Lil’ Kim has broken down barriers, opened doors, and opened doors for other women to thrive in this male-dominated music genre. Her influence isn’t just limited to music, it extends to fashion as she is known for some of the most iconic looks in fashion history. LIONNE’s Latoia Fitzgerald also won the Women in Hip Hop Rising Designer Award.

The event kicked off with an opening set by DJ Jadaboo, followed by an exhilarating performance by rapper BIA. BIA’s setlist consisted of hits such as “Whole Lotta Money”. The runway show featured Doechii, Rubi Rose and Baby Tate showing model struts on the catwalk wearing fashionable looks from LIONNE. Audiences also enjoyed her hit song “Hey Mickey! And I.”
Guests witnessed the catwalk transform into an afterparty stage. There, rising sensation Coi Leray capped off the night with chart-topping hits “Players” and “Blick Blick.”
Other notable guests attending the event included Saucy Santana, Tinashe, Karrueche Tran, Amber Wagner, Cleotrapa, Markell Washington, Brittany Sky, Maiya The Don, Pink Pantheress and more.
