Following a whirlwind debut that included a Grammy-nominated first single, multiple chart-topping debuts, television performances, and two years of selling out, Mammoth WVH is back with their second album. Mammoth II. The 10-track album will be released worldwide on August 4th via the band’s new label, BMG.
Recorded at the legendary 5150 Studios, the album was produced by friend and collaborator Michael “Elvis” Baskett. Mammoth II can be pre-ordered in multiple configurations here.
Continuing the tradition of writing every song and playing all instruments and vocals himself, Wolfgang Van Halen ventured to expand his sound beyond what people already knew. . From the rocking opener to a Beatles-esque fade at the end of “Better Than You,” Mammoth II shows Wolfgang’s growth as a songwriter, musician, and vocalist in particular. Songs like “Like A Pastime,” “Take A Bow,” and “Waiting,” all sonically different from each other, are unique to masterminds, his Wolfgang Van Halen and his Mammoth WVH.
The debut single from Mammoth II is the upbeat rocker ‘Another Celebration At The End Of The World’. The single is currently making an impact on radio, and music for “Another Celebration At The End Of The World” His video is his 8:25 introduction to Mammoth WVH Live his band. Picking up where the number 1 single “Don’t Back Down” music video left off, the new video features a frustrated Wolfgang firing other Wolfgangs from the video, Frank Sidris (guitar), John replaced by the infamous live band of Jordan (guitar), Ronnie Ficaro (bass), Garrett Whitlock (drums). This video he directed by Gordy De St. Jeor can be seen below.
“We wanted the new album to include elements that people heard when they debuted, but it also gave us the opportunity to expand the scope a little. is a song that shows what can be expected from the new album. It’s a high-energy rocker with some fun guitar moments. I put a lot of effort into the vocals, and it’s a song I can’t wait to perform live. I think it will be a staple of our future live sets,” explains Wolfgang Van Halen.

Mammoth WVH will tour the world in support of Mammoth II. The live band, consisting of Wolfgang Van Halen, Frank Sidris, John Jordan, Ronnie Ficaro and Garrett Whitlock, is currently on the second leg of their US tour in support of Alter Bridge. It will take place on August 11, 2023 at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal and on August 23, 2024 at the Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton. Mammoth WVH will also be performing at various festivals around the world, as well as making headline stops into 2024. Other dates will be announced soon.
