Although it’s still not enough to use BeReal again
Last summer everyone went crazy for BeReal. Had he been doing something interesting that day, he would have prayed to God while out and about, hoping that BeReal would conveniently turn off and that he would appear to be doing something fun with his life. Inevitably, when you’re out with friends and have a problem, everyone pulls out their phones at exactly the same time and uploads roughly the same image as everyone else to a time-sensitive social media app.
But in recent months, BeReals’ novelty has faded as TikTok and Facebook Messenger introduced similar features in the form of TikTok Now and Roll Call. But now, to stay one step ahead of its competitors and win back some users who turn off notifications for fear of the pesky yellow triangle, BeReal is teaming up with Spotify to show you which songs you’ve played. Implemented new features. I hear you the very moment you post.
The integration also gives users the option to share whatever song or podcast they’re currently listening to when posting BeReal, as long as it’s streamed through Spotify. The cover art of the audio you’re listening to appears below the camera lens. Posting lets your friends hear a preview of what you’re listening to. This new feature is already available in 5 countries around the world, with other countries including the UK coming soon. All you need to get started is connecting your BeReal and Spotify accounts. Method is as follows.
Here’s how to get the latest Spotify features on BeReal.
1. First, you need to merge the two accounts. There are two ways to do this. Once it launches in the UK, you should see tappable music icons when you post your next BeReal. If you can’t do that, go to “Settings” in the BeReal app, click “Music” and follow the relevant steps to connect to Spotify.
2. After connecting your account, if you’re listening to a song or podcast on Spotify when capturing BeReal, BeReal will automatically appear with the cover art of the audio you’re listening to. Bottom of camera lens. You can then choose to share or not.
3. Post so your friends can hear snippets of what you’re listening to, and you can hear their snippets too.
