Spotify users have noticed a surprising change in the app’s interface that has confused many.
Miley Cyrus has thanked her fans for the global chart success of “Flowers.”
One of the big changes that caused an emotional response was the removal of the “cute heart” icon used to add tracks to the “Favorites” library.
Users opening the app to see the latest weekly release were stunned simply by searching for the heart symbol and discovering it had been replaced.
The new “+” icon has the same functionality, but adds a second step to the process where the user must select the playlist to add the song to.
Many people have reacted to the change on social media, with many saying they are happy with the status quo.

Spotify has announced that a software update is the biggest change to its platform since 2013.
Among other features set to join the update, but which have yet to arrive on some Australian mobile devices, is a new home feed that mimics platforms like TikTok, with scrollable You can use the visual feed to sample the audio and then dive in.
