The Joe Rogan Experience suffered a setback when it recently lost the top spot on Spotify’s most popular podcast rankings. His JRE, led by UFC commentator Joe Rogan, has ceded his #1 spot to Brain Leak, a new idiosyncratic podcast in town.
JRE has topped Spotify’s charts in record numbers since signing an exclusive deal with the streaming company. The deal, which was later revealed to be worth $200 million, tied its content to the Swedish company, and its popularity skyrocketed as well. Despite the turbulent days, the popular podcast did not face a dip in numbers.
JRE suffered a blow in the UK when it was recently overthrown by YouTuber WillNe’s podcast TWOTI, but its dominance in the US remained unchallenged. However, fans orchestrated a coup to overthrow his JRE on Brain Leak, a podcast that recently aired its first episode.

Joe Rogan Experience slips off the top
New unscripted and unfiltered podcast Brain Leak occupied the top slot on Spotify’s top US podcast chart, pushing JRE away.
Hosted by YouTube creators Sean McLoughlin (aka Jacksepticeye) and Ethan Nestor (aka CrankGameplays), the podcast released its first episode on April 19th. Known for their hilarious and insane gaming reactions, the pair don’t hesitate to indulge in offbeat topics and address unrelated issues on their podcasts.
Similarly, in an interview, Jacksepticeye clarified the purpose of the podcast. He said, “We just want to hang out and chat, have fun, and make each other laugh for an hour or so every week.”
How have fans reacted to the burgeoning podcast Game Leak?
Fans in the gaming division were so elated that they even embarked on the acquisition of JRE. They rallied behind the podcast’s co-host, his CrankGameplays appeal to “defeat Joe Rogan.”
Remarkably, CrankGameplays wrote: “Do it. Gamer completes the task. Joe Rogan must be defeated!!!”
