While Goose emerged as one of rock’s most exciting live acts, the Connecticut jam band collaborated onstage with Trey Anastasio, Billy Strings, Margo Price, Big Boi and more. The group added another special guest on Friday, joining Goose in the form of Jimmy Fallon for an encore of the oft-covered R&B classic “Mustang Sally.”
“Everybody gave up for Jimmy Fallon,” Goose guitarist Peter Anspuck told a confused audience at Port Chester at New York’s Capitol Theatre. “He took us to his show. Now he’s coming to our show,” referring to the band’s December 2022 visit. tonight’s show.
Fallon and Goose then delivered a Blues Brothers-inspired version of “Mustang Sally,” with the late-night hosts donning Elwood and Jake-style shades.
