The band plays all the acoustic punk masterpieces
Violent Femmes have added a fall North American gig to their ongoing 40th anniversary tour celebrating the 40th anniversary of their iconic self-titled debut album.
The spring leg will visit venues in the western half of the United States, while the fall leg will focus primarily on the East Coast and Midwest. The show kicks off in Milwaukee on October 3rd and runs through to Richmond, Virginia on October 22nd.
As they did on the first leg of the tour, the Violent Femmes will play their debut LP in full at each show. This acoustic her punk masterpiece includes classics like “Blister in the Sun,” “Kiss Off,” “Add It Up,” and “Prove My Love.”

The kick-off show in the Violent Femmes’ hometown of Milwaukee saw the band perform with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, and two nights at the DeVos Performance Hall in Grand Rapids, Michigan saw the Femmes perform with the Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra. .
