Canada’s hip-hop queen makes a triumphant return to Vancouver. Mee will hit the stage on Saturday June 3rd as part of Black Music Month, a celebration of black Canadian women in hip-hop during the multi-day festival running June 2nd-4th. An exciting performance will be held with Me on June 3rd. Hip-hop her lineup of artists including her Keysha Freshh in Toronto and her Missy D, Ndidi Cascade and Kia Kadiri in Vancity. Mi is a hip hop trailblazer and pioneer. She was the first Canadian host to sign a record deal with a major American label, releasing her debut album, 1992. Root Dwellers Music Showcase
Anza Club’s monthly showcase of all genres of local music, The Route Dwellers, has announced its June headline line-up. Showcase is also Pride Month, so Dust Quain, Devers and Kylie V are set to hit the stage on June 23rd. All three artists are making headlines in their local scene and have released recent releases such as: Arcana, was removed last September.
