Hosted in Las Vegas’ $1.8 billion, 20,000-seat brand-new performance venue

U2 have announced the first dates of their upcoming residency at Las Vegas’ brand new Sphere.
The show, entitled “U2: UV Achtung Baby Live At Sphere,” will take place from Friday, September 29, 2023. update: U2 announced eight additional dates in December, bringing the total number of confirmed shows to 25. Check out the full itinerary below.
This date will be U2’s first confirmed live performance in four years. Drummer Larry Mullen Jr. will not be attending these shows as he will be on leave for surgery and recovery. He will be replaced by Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and drummer Bram Van den Berg.
Ticketmaster Verified fan pre-sale on December 8th continues through Monday, May 15th. Verified Fan’s pre-sale will begin on his Thursday, May 18th, followed by his general sale via his Ticketmaster on Friday, May 19th. All-in tickets start at $140, with 60% of all seats priced under $300. To minimize resale and keep ticket prices low, GA floor tickets are non-transferable.
Tickets for U2: UV Achtung Baby Live At Sphere are also available through StubHub, with orders 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform and prices can be higher or lower than face value depending on demand.
The Sphere is a brand new $1.8 billion 20,000 seat performance venue located near The Venetian on the Las Vegas Strip. It boasts 580,000 square feet of LED panels, 170,000 super-directional speakers that utilize beamforming technology to deliver targeted audio to every seat in the venue, a haptic floor system and many other high-tech features.
“U2 haven’t played live since December 2019 so we have to get back on stage and see the faces of the fans again.And what a unique stage they put up for us in the desert! You’re building it… we’re the right band, baby be careful The right album and Sphere is the right venue to take the live music experience to the next level,” the band said in a statement. “That’s what U2 have been trying to do through satellite stages and video installations, most memorable being the ‘ZOO TV Tour’ that ended 30 years ago this fall in Tokyo.”
