The song clearly has heavy metal influences from the band members’ experience with the genre, but it also has elements of classic rock. “Dreams Always Die With The Sun” was written by Hickey and Windstein and recorded in February. Speaking about the new song, Windstein said:As for me, I love jamming and writing songs with talented people. Of course, I’ve been jamming with Todd Strange since his ’80s, so I knew it would be great, but I was super excited to get the chance to get together with Kenny and Johnny. We did…we had a great feeling that we were on to something special. I love this song and can’t wait to write more songs with these guys. ” Hickey added. We had some riffs and a half-baked idea, so we recorded it and sent it to Kirk, and he wrote up some ideas from there. We’re all about the same age, so I think it reflects the music we grew up with, mostly 70’s hard rock and metal. It has a classic rock vibe. You can also hear Hendrix’s voice there.
