Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith teased a new Black Hippy song while explaining Black Hippy’s plans for a 2023 release.
The founder of Top Dawg Entertainment took to Twitter early Monday morning (March 27) to answer questions from fans.
When asked about the possibility of another Black Hippy remix in the future, Top Dawg replied:
Consisting of original TDE members Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock and Ab-Soul, Black Hippy have only a handful of songs to their name. Most recently, his 2016 remix of Q’s “THat Part.”
Yet fans have long clamored for a full-length project from the West Coast collective.
Elsewhere in a Q&A on Twitter, Top Dawg revealed the label’s release lineup for the year ahead, and named all the artists expected to drop new projects.
“Reason, rayvaughn, doechii, Q, jay rock, zac and compilations,” he wrote. “If everyone does their part…if they submit them, I will release them..”
Not only that, but he also hinted at a deluxe version of Ab-Soul. herbertalong with the possibility of a brand new album for Winter.
“Deluxe, new album out hopefully in December,” he replied to a fan who asked about Soulo’s next plans.

“We definitely wanted to make a black hippie album,” he said. One guy was recording an album and another guy was on tour.

He adds: Personally, that has always been my goal. You should ask everyone individually to see if that is their goal. “
Rumors of a Black Hippie album resurfaced last year when Schoolboy Q, Jay Rock and Ab Soul reunited in the studio with producer Cardo, who produced their 2015 collaboration Vice City.
