Mako, Hungary-based avant-garde metal project Thy Catafalque, spearheaded by multi-instrumentalist Tamas Catay, will release its tenth full-length studio album. lowland June 16, 2023 through Season of the Mist.
“lowland This project is the simplest and most classic extreme metal album we’ve ever recorded,” said Tamas Katay. “This time, I just wanted to do metal without innovation or progress, focusing on songs and riffs rather than experimenting and breaking new ground. “Alford” means “Great Plains”, the vast plains of southeastern Hungary where I was born and raised, and the video for “Nema Vermek” was shot in the middle of the barren land of Makho Bogarzo.
