The Smile, a supergroup featuring Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood and Sons of Kemet drummer Tom Skinner, has spent nearly two months recording their new album. clarified.
The news was buried at the end of a flurry of emails (via Reddit) announcing a handful of new North American tour dates. “We are deep into week seven recording,” he wrote for The Smile. The ‘Reel 15’ group hasn’t revealed any further details, but it’s a promising sign that they can release new music by this summer.
In June, The Smile will play their first show in Mexico City before embarking on a current 18-date tour that includes stops in Austin, Miami, New York City, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Kansas City and more.
