The Lyons are back with new music and tour dates are set!
Having released the first single of 2023 on “Scary Movies,” the 2021 Triple J Unearthed High winner has announced that she will be touring throughout May and June.
Let’s start with “scary movies”.
The band recorded a track in Byron Bay with Chris Collins (Matt Covey, Middle Kids) and as a follow-up to 2022’s track ‘Anakin’, this newcomer from the Lions is directly in line with the type of band they’re continuing with. I will. Confident without being too cocky and leaning into their natural talent for performance and music, they won the Unearthed High comp in the first place.

“Too often, stories about love are written in terms of the struggles that come with relationships and heartbreaks that many people can relate to,” the band said of the new single.
“An aspect that’s not touched on enough is how fun it is to fall in love and how happy finding your person can make you.
Add the release of “Scary Movies” to Lyons’ list of fun new developments. This includes the 100 hottest placements in a row (“Anakin” ranked his number 64 on his 2022 countdown) and Sam his new Worthington fan.
