Ocean New music video has been released!
new music video for the track sea of reedsis an excerpt from the German post-metal band’s upcoming new album. Holocenescheduled to be released in May this year.
Speaking of new single, guitarist Robin Stapes To tell, “Imany Ocean Lyrically, the song was inspired by the Old Testament story of Exodus. So that the Israelites could escape from the Egyptians, God divided the waters of the Red Sea, a sea of reeds, jammed the wheels of their persecutors’ chariots, and drowned them in the sea. The Bible is full of stories of miraculous healings, water turning to blood, locusts falling from the sky, and the sea parting. Almighty? The god who divides the waters of the sea and decides who lives and who dies is a terrifying being, and the lesson we learn from Exodus is that we should worship a god of such immense power. you are really bad But a God who needs miracles to convince his sheep to admire him and follow his leadership can only be a vain God. In vanity, even God, there is weakness and vulnerability. And this is an important note about the level of relationships: dependencies.
We often look up to our loved ones as gods and think of love as a supernatural force. It’s something that hits us all of a sudden and changes us and the world around us. and sometimes even throw yourself into something) is a voluntary decision. It doesn’t happen with luck, it doesn’t happen with bad luck. It essentially relies on seeing someone at eye level, which can sometimes involve a certain amount of adoration, but too much of it creates a hierarchy that ruins it.

Director talks about new music video Adrian Shapiro To tell, “Robin I’ve been talking for years about me directing a video clip Ocean, and finally the stars were aligned and we were able to make this happen.Went through several different tracks before finally settling down sea of reedsI just really directed the music video for my band, Behold!so there was a little bit of pressure to make sure this clip was at a level I was happy with Oceanand also did the song justice.
After listening to this song over and over again, I can finally see the journey I wanted to create for the clip… sea of reeds A beautiful, unforgettable track. Powerful, melancholic, with a variety of textures I liked the idea of using his materials to create a world of hills and mountains that ultimately reveal the purpose of the clip. The entire process for this clip was a setup for creating repeatable camera movements using a motion control robot. This allowed me to tweak props and materials without affecting camera movement. Once I had all the moves and material sorted out, I locked everything in and shot the clip relatively quickly. I wanted it to be captivating and a very unsettling piece to watch not knowing where it was going. , I hope you all enjoy this journey. ”
Holosen will be released on May 19th via Peragic Records. Pre-orders are available now and can be purchased here.
