The Mars Volta has added a new North American leg to its 2023 tour dates. The new dates scheduled for the fall follow the band’s previously announced shows in the US in the spring, beginning next month at San Diego Stadium, where the band will open for Red Hot Chili Peppers. It is included.
The new leg kick begins September 13th in Minneapolis and runs through October 11th in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Live Nation pre-sale will begin at 10am local time on Tuesday (April 25th) via Ticketmaster using the code VINYL, with general sales beginning next Friday (April 28th).
Fans can also find great deals and receive tickets to sold-out shows via StubHub, where purchases are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform and prices can be higher or lower than face value depending on demand.

Guitarist Omar Rodriguez-López said, “It feels like the Mars Volta has finally started. That’s how it finally got rid of everything and got to what the whole concept was at the beginning, so it’s like the previous album.” That’s why it’s self-titled,” he said in a press release. “And this acoustic version comes from a profound place with its own meaning and philosophy and its own reason for being.”
