The Jonas Brothers are family. And like any family, you need to balance work, life, and time together.
Of course, Nick, Kevin and Joe are no ordinary siblings. They rose to fame in his mid-2000s under Disney Television and the Music Machine, took time to pursue separate endeavors, and then reunited in 2019 to much fanfare (and ” Sucker” won the comeback debut 1st place single).
“We spend a lot of time together and sometimes it’s fun to be apart,” says Kevin, 35. “But I think we work together very well together. .”
The Jonas Brothers continue that work with ‘The Album’ (released Friday). This is his sixth LP with the band and the first where the three share similar perspectives as both father and husband. Kevin has his two daughters with his wife Danielle. Joe also has two daughters with his wife Sophie Turner. Nick has a daughter with his wife Priyanka Chopra.
“[It used to be]one person was on a boat or something, and the other person was at home with the kids, I think. Now Nick, 30, is like, ‘Where are we all? We have a better understanding and awareness of what is going on, and that is fully reflected in the music.”
The music on “The Album” draws on influences from artists prior to the time of the brothers, such as Fleetwood Mac, the Eagles, and the Bee Gees. Singer-songwriter Jon Bellion (Justin Bieber, Maroon 5, Halsey) serves as the album’s executive producer. The final product is a catchy sound perfect for summer. There are also several themes covered on “The Album” that the band have never sung before: “Little Bird” talks about the importance of the father-daughter relationship and is one of their new favorite songs to perform live. He’s one.
“It’s one of those songs that makes you hold back tears,” says 33-year-old Joe.
The Jonas Brothers released two singles prior to the LP, “Wings” and “Waffle House”. The latter remix, along with his two exclusive performances at the Royal Albert Hall last month, will be available through the game Candy Crush Saga the day before the album’s release. All three will appear in the game as “candied” characters.
“For us, it’s all about finding out where the fans are and releasing the music early…we like to give things away before the actual product is there,” Kevin explains Candy Crush Saga. Fans aren’t the only ones who love to play, but “Priyanka Chopra Jonas probably has the best level at Candy Crush.
“(She loves it. She plays it all the time,” says wife Nick.
