The Cure have added several new dates to their upcoming North American tour, bringing the two-month itinerary to a total of 34 shows.
The four new gigs were sold out at an unprecedented rate, with previously announced shows in San Diego, Montreal and Atlanta. The second show will be held in each city on Sunday, May 21st, Saturday, June 17th, and Wednesday, June 28th.
The band will also add a night in Portland, playing at the Moda Center on Wednesday, May 31, with frontman Robert Smith calling the gig “whether or not non-transferable tickets will be sufficient protection.” Unlike other dates on the tour, that show does not require a “verified fan” code from Ticketmaster to access general sales.
