Australian metalcore legends The Amity Affliction have announced a metro city tour of Australia. ain’t without my ghostOctober 2023.
Supported by Canadian rock bands Silverstein, Earth Caller and Winner’s Circle, the tour kicks off in Brisbane on Thursday 19 October, before ending in Perth, with stops in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.
The tour will mark the band’s 20th anniversary and possibly the release of their long-awaited eighth studio album.
Vocalist Joel Burch hinted at the band’s new album in November, letting fans know it was done in a tweet.
“New album done. Mixed. Done,” Birch tweeted, adding:[it’s the] It’s the heaviest music we’ve ever written. ”
While no release date for the next album has yet been announced, The Amity Affliction have released two new heavier tracks following Birch’s announcement.
‘Show Me Your God’ will be released in November 2022, capping off a busy year for the band, including a sold-out national headline tour in support of the 2020s everyone loves you…if you leavewhich reached number two on the ARIA album chart that year and made three appearances at the Good Things Festival.

In a highly personal lyric, Birch details the “ongoing vague struggle that arises from dealing with the pain of a friend committing suicide while dealing with passive suicidal ideation myself.” .
