The world’s greatest band, Tenacious D, have announced additional dates for their Spicy Meatballs tour in select cities across the US this fall. Artist pre-sales begin today at 9:00 AM PT, followed by local pre-sales on June 8th from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM local time. General sale begins Friday, June 9th at 10am local time.
The tour dates follow the recently released recorded version of Tenacious D’s live cover of Chris Isaac’s viral and fan-favorite ‘Wicked Game’. The single is accompanied by a video directed by D’s longtime collaborator Taylor Stevens, featuring dynamic duo Jack Black and Kyle Gass in a glorious, romantic romp on the beach. . Last month, they released their first new song in five years, “Video Games,” which has been streamed over 18 million times across all platforms in less than a month. The animated music video created by Oney Plays brings the video game version of Jack and Kyle to life in a classic and hilarious way.
In addition to the single’s release, Tenacious D will be a special guest at this year’s Video Game Awards at the Hollywood Bowl on June 25th, where they will be performing “Video Games” in action.
