Death/progressive metal band Subterfuge will release their new album Philosopher on May 12th.
Philosopher is the final chapter in a unique musical trilogy that began with the previous albums Projections from the Past (2018) and Prometheus (2019). On the album, the band combines elements of death metal with heavy and progressive metal, further spiced up with some sax.
This material was recorded with an expanded line-up. Kinga Lis (vocals and violin), Mateusz Drzewicz (vocals), Tyberiusz łodwicz (guitar) and Witold Nowak (guitar) are joined by Karolina Kozar (keyboards, flute) and Krzysztof Marchwacki (bass). Lukasz Jubinski (drums). Their unique musicality, talent and ideas combined with the rest of the band to produce an absolutely magical mix that completes the Philosophers album.
It’s an album unlike anything you’ve heard before. Eclectic and progressive, gentle yet powerful and full of contrasts.
The band announced: “We take you into a world of story metal where no one has been, a world of light and darkness, joy and sorrow, questions left unanswered.” I will take you to a world filled with…”
