Lead vocalist and Steelheart founder Milienko Matijevic has postponed some of the band’s upcoming tour dates due to complications from recent surgery.
A message from SteelHeart Management said, “After surgery, doctors discovered a hole in his heart known as a PFO (patent foramen ovale). In the case of Brett Michaels (Poison) and Hailey Baldwin-Bieber, Similar to , PFO caused mini-heart damage.” The good news is that his doctors caught the disease in time and his health and overall condition are improving steadily.
His team and fans alike look forward to the success of any further steps he takes to rectify the issue. Until then, Milienko will be taking things very slowly, with extreme caution.
Thank you for your kind words and wishing Milienko a speedy recovery.
A note about PFO: 1 in 4 people have PFO and they may not realize it until it’s too late. May was National Stroke Awareness Month, you can donate to the PFO Research Foundation https://pfofoundation.org/ to get a doctor’s diagnosis. ”
Last week, Steelheart announced the release of their new single, “In Love.” The song is an enhanced version of their 2017 hit “I’m So In Love With You”, in keeping with the band’s 30th anniversary theme of reimagining the band’s most popular songs.
The complete physical 30th anniversary record will ship on June 9th. One contains a “Golden Ticket” which stands for a special prize package.
SteelHeart also released revival versions of “We All Die Young”, “Good 2B Alive” and “Everybody Loves Eileen” for SteelHeart’s 30th album. “We wanted to give one of his most romantic songs a new, modern twist, with just piano, vocals and four cellos,” Matijevic says. “We are delighted to share this latest version with our fans and hopefully introduce it to new audiences.”
The video was shot in Zagreb, Croatia, Milienko’s birthplace, and in the world-famous Roman Stadium in Pula, a seaside city on the tip of Croatia’s Istrian peninsula. Milienko’s country was not only open-minded, but allowed him to shoot in the arena for three hours, without the tourists who were always there walking around. Saints like Saint Michael walked the streets where this beautiful/video song was filmed.
The official video will be released tomorrow, Friday June 9th. Check out the teaser below.
“In Love” is just the beginning of what is expected to be an exciting 2023 for SteelHeart, with more new songs and tour dates to be announced soon. Fans can now save “In Love” to their favorite streaming his platform.
