Spotify’s Niche Mixes tool creates playlists to match almost ANY mood and activity 

Spotify has launched a new tool to create personalized mixes for almost any mood, activity or thing you can think of.

“Angry Whistling” and “Sad Cooking” are among tens of thousands of new playlists you can create thanks to the music platform’s new Niche Mixes Maker.

Whatever the case, Spotify claims that the tool will allow you to create playlists filled with both songs you already know and other songs that match all kinds of moods.

5-10 of these mixes will be updated daily, but the music giant also encourages users to explore other playlists, such as “Angry Running” and more bizarre songs like “Milk.” .

“If you’re looking for something very specific, search for an activity, atmosphere, or aesthetic that describes the moment you’re in, and add the word ‘mix’ at the end.’Don’t be shy.’ . Be creative. The more mixes you search, the more music you discover.

The release of Niche Mixes comes after other personalized playlist features of the platform such as Mood Mixes, Decays Mixes and Genre Mixes.

Many new activity-based playlists focus on everyday tasks like cooking, running, and homework.

But Spotify listeners have been shocked by the more obscure mixes Spotify recommends, including music from “Dog Water,” “Milk,” and “Battle Clown.”

Last November, one Twitter user said he was “enchanted” by playlists created just for him.

“Murder Ballad,” “Angry Tuna,” and “Sad Pirate” mixes are among the mixes the platform has created for them.

They said: “Sorry, but I’m totally enamored with the assortment of Spotify auto-generated playlists. What is Eggpunk? Battle clown music? Am I a stroke?”

Another shared being recommended the “Insanecore Mix” and said, “What are you calling me for?”

Niche Mix releases come after the platform’s other personalized playlists, such as Mood Mixes, Decays Mixes and Genre Mixes.

Mixes are currently available to both paying users of the premium service and those using the free version of Spotify.

Scroll down and “Your Niche Mixes” will appear below many other mix suggestions, including artist and mood suggestions.
