Spotify users have vomited online after losing the app’s “favorites feature” after a new update.
The Swedish music-streaming platform called the update its “biggest evolution yet”, redesigning its homepage and some of its features.

Among the many changes, some were devastated to learn that some users were removed.
The “cute little love heart” next to the song title, which was intended to add the played song to the “favorites” album, has been removed.
The heart has been replaced by a “plus sign” that allows users to add songs directly to their selected playlist.
Heart has been part of the platform since its launch in 2008.
As expected with such a big change, some users were unhappy with the decision.
“This is definitely the worst Spotify update ever,” said an angry Twitter user.
“I hate Spotify updates. Take back your little mind!” agreed with another.
“Spotify’s new update is **. They removed the heart so you can’t see it in the track list, removed the heart completely, and made it a f******** checkmark .
“Who thought this Spotify update was a good idea?” said a fourth user.
“Can you stop Spotify? Nobody wants these updates,” added another.
Others tried out the update’s good side and enjoyed being able to quickly add songs to their playlists.
“Am I the only one who actually likes the hearts being removed in the new Spotify update?” asked one.
“It makes adding songs to playlists so easy and you can actually see what songs you’ve already added, which is great.”
“Actually, I think the update makes sense,” agreed the second.
