Global online streaming platform Spotify has made a commitment to foster collaboration in the fields of African music, visual arts and cuisine.
Spotify artist Victor Okpala and West Africa label partnership manager said at the #SpotifyMoments art exhibition in Lagos that such a collaboration is needed to improve the music listening experience in Africa. .
The event featured 35 artworks and menus inspired by five different African playlists: Spotify, Alter-NATIVE, Naija Bars, Naija Traffic Jams, Hot Hits Naija and African Heat.

According to him, the works on display from young talents in the Nigerian art world are those of Chinaza Nchemka, James Adebayo, Chijioke Anyacho, Kentar Kachina, Odinakachi Okoroafor, Abigail “Esoterika” Ogen and Sotony Jumbo. is.
He said these works cut across classical, contemporary and postmodern art.
“Each piece tells a different story inspired by different songs on our Spotify playlists.
“One of the artworks, 3 MB Monday Morning, was inspired by the Naija Traffic Jams playlist and tells a story about the bright and chaotic nature of traffic in Lagos.” he added.
