Despite being one of the world’s best music players, Spotify was no exception to a global layoff phenomenon that saw 600 employees acquire pink slips earlier this year. However, while user response has been mixed, this hasn’t stopped Spotify from rolling out new features for its mobile and web versions, as the TikTok-esque music discovery feature came out a few weeks ago. We’re testing out a completely revamped UI for the user profile section by adding card layouts across the page.

But, as TechCrunch rightly points out, this is probably because Spotify is testing upcoming features in certain markets. Spotify’s updated profile page UI also directs users to some of its most appreciated features, such as Blend playlists and recommendations. TechCrunch reached out to the company for comment, but a Spotify spokesperson confirmed the feature’s existence but didn’t provide details about its wider availability. The screenshot shows the “vibe” status that users can set above their name, but it has now been relocated to the top right of the screen. In terms of features, the ability to create playlists directly from your profile page is useful, the Explore more features tab lets you like additional songs for better recommendations, and live events near you.
